It is my great pleasure to invite you to support and attend the 21st Immunology of Diabetes Society (IDS) Congress, which will be held in Brisbane in 2026. Every 18 months, members of IDS convene to share the latest in cutting edge research, debate big questions in the field, and catch up with old and new colleagues. The Brisbane meeting is sure to be another memorable IDS meeting, and we look forward to your participation.

Josephine Forbes

Invitation from the ADS President

On behalf of the Australian Diabetes Society, I have the pleasure of inviting you to the Immunology of Diabetes Society Congress in 2026. In Brisbane we will bring together our committed international community who are working diligently towards greater understanding of the pathogenesis, prediction, prevention and towards a cure for Type 1 Diabetes. Our major aim is to facilitate and foster knowledge exchange among discovery and translational scientists/clinicians, our industry partners and philanthropic organisations and people living with diabetes sharing latest achievements, newest developments for therapy and on how the immune system, pancreas and other body systems contribute to the development of T1D and how these new insights can lead to better prediction, prevention, care of and cure for T1D. We look forward to meeting you at IDS 2026 Brisbane in our glorious sunshine state!

The 2026 IDS Congress will be held on the traditional lands for the Turrbal and Jagera/Yuggera Peoples, and we respect their spiritual relationship with their country. The IDS and ADS acknowledge that the Turrbal and Jagera/Yuggera Peoples are the custodians of Brisbane City, and that their cultural and heritage beliefs are still important to the living Turrbal and Jagera/Yuggera Peoples today. We pay our respects to Elders both past, present, and emerging and to the members of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community
