The 2026 IDS Congress will be held on the traditional lands for the Turrbal and Jagera/Yuggera Peoples, and we respect their spiritual relationship with their country. The IDS and ADS acknowledge that the Turrbal and Jagera/Yuggera Peoples are the custodians of Brisbane City, and that their cultural and heritage beliefs are still important to the living Turrbal and Jagera/Yuggera Peoples today. We pay our respects to Elders both past, present, and emerging and to the members of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community
